We thank Archbishop Nauman for establishing our community as a personal parish of his archdiocese. This is the fruit of and a testament to the decades of prayer and labor of our clergy and laity. Thanks are due to all the priests who led and labored for this community over the years, perhaps most especially Fr. Fongemie who led the community to obtain its own church and began the process of becoming a parish. Thanks also to the lay members of our parish, especially those who have supported us from the beginning, sticking it out through the long period when we were sharing churches with other parishes. While we look forward to what the future holds for our parish, we should all be profoundly grateful for all the labor which has made this possible.
Fr. DeGuzman was formally installed as the first pastor of our parish by Archbishop Naumann in a small ceremony on September 17.
